CBS IS #1 ON WEDNESDAY IN VIEWERS AND KEY DEMOGRAPHICS
"The Defenders" Posts Strong Gains from Its Last First-Run Episode and Sweeps Its Time Period
"Survivor: Nicaragua" and "Criminal Minds" Both Win Their Time Periods in Viewers and Key Demos
CBS swept Wednesday in viewers and key demographics led by three time-period winners, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Wednesday, Dec. 8.
SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA was first in households (6.9/11), viewers (12.17m), adults 25-54 (4.9/13) and adults 18-49 (3.6/10). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA was even in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.
CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (8.8/14), viewers (14.22m), adults 25-54 (4.8/12) and adults 18-49 (3.5/09).
THE DEFENDERS was first in households (6.6/12), viewers (10.50m), adults 25-54 (3.1/08) and adults 18-49 (2.0/06). Compared to its last first-run episode on Nov. 17, 2010, THE DEFENDERS was up +12% in households (from 5.9/11), +11% in adults 25-54 (from 2.8/08), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/06) and added +1.03m viewers (from 9.47m, +11%).
For the night, CBS was first in households (7.4/12), viewers (12.30m), adults 25-54 (4.2/11) and adults 18-49 (3.0/09).
