FOX Wins the Week, Widens Season Lead Over No. 2 Network

FOX WINS THE WEEK, WIDENS SEASON LEAD OVER NO. 2 NETWORK

With four nightly wins and strong deliveries by HOUSE, THE CHICAGO CODE, GLEE, RAISING HOPE, AMERICAN IDOL and FRINGE, FOX ranked No. 1 for the week among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. Season to date, FOX is averaging a 3.5/10 among Adults 18-49 and has widened its lead over the No. 2 network to a full half a ratings point in the adult demo (3.5/10 vs. CBS' 3.0/8). Key highlights from last week include:

· FOX's Monday drama lineup achieved gains last week:

· HOUSE posted a 3.5/9 among Adults 18-49, up +3% from the previous week (3.4/10) in the demo while up +5% in Total Viewers (10.4 vs. 9.9 Mil.). For the night, HOUSE was the #1 program among Adults 18-49 (tie), Adults 18-34, Teens, and Adults 25-54 (tie).

· Week three of THE CHICAGO CODE posted a 2.1/5 among Adults 18-49, up +5% from the previous week (2.0/6). THE CHICAGO CODE was also up +7% in Total Viewers from the previous week (7.9 vs. 7.4 Mil).

· On Tuesday, FOX's GLEE, RAISING HOPE and TRAFFIC LIGHT combined to rank #2 for the night among Adults 18-49 and #1 in Adults 18-34, Teens, Women 18-49/18-34.

· GLEE posted a 4.4/12 among Adults 18-49, up +5% from the previous week (4.2/12) and was the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-49 (tie), Adults 18-34, Teens, Women 18-49, and Women 18-34.

· RAISING HOPE delivered a 2.4/7 among Adults 18-49, up +9% from the previous week in the adult demo (2.2/6) and up +11% in Total Viewers (6.0 vs. 5.4 Mil).

· Week three of TRAFFIC LIGHT posted a 1.6/4 among Adults 18-49, up +14% in the adult demo from the previous week (vs. 1.4/4) and up +14% in Total Viewers (4.0 vs. 3.5 Mil.).

· FOX aired two dominant two-hour installments of AMERICAN IDOL on Wednesday and Thursday that helped significantly in closing the ratings gap between IDOL Season 10 and Season 9. In fact, last week FOX posted the highest-rated Thursday night on any network in three years among A18-49 (since 2/28/08) and in four years in Total Viewers (since 3/8/07).

· Wednesday's AMERICAN IDOL drew a 7.9/21 among Adults 18-49 with 22.7 Mil Total Viewers and outperformed the combined 4-net competition for the night by +5% among Adults 18-49 (7.9 vs. 7.5 for ABC/CBS/NBC/CW).

· AMERICAN IDOL was the highest rated program of Wednesday night in all key demos and outperformed the next highest rated program of the night by +93% in A18-49 (7.9 vs. Modern Family's 4.1) and +72% in Total Viewers (22.7 vs. Criminal Minds, 13.2 Mil.).

· On Thursday, FOX's AMERICAN IDOL (7.2/20) again won the night among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Teens and all key demos.

· Thursday's AMERICAN IDOL was up +11% in A18-49 vs. the comparable date last year (7.2/20 vs. 6.5/17 on 2/25/10) and up +20% in Total Viewers (21.8 vs. 18.1 Mil.)

· FOX's Friday lineup of KITCHEN NIGHTMARES and FRINGE held strong, ranking #1 in key male and female demos and #2 among Adults 18-49.

· KITCHEN NIGHTMARES (1.6/5) won its 8p hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Women 18-49/18-34 and Men 18-49/18-34/25-54.

· At 9pm, FRINGE stayed even with its previous week and ranked #1 in Adults 18-34, Women 18-34 (tie) and Men 18-34 (tie).
