NCAA and "NCIS" Lead CBS to Second Consecutive Weekly Win in Viewers and Key Demographics

NCAA AND "NCIS" LEAD CBS TO SECOND CONSECUTIVE WEEKLY WIN IN VIEWERS AND KEY DEMOGRAPHICS

"NCAA Basketball Championship" Jump Starts CBS's Winning Week

"NCIS" is the #1 Scripted Program in Viewers and Adults 18-49

CBS Has 13 of the Week's Top 20 Programs in Viewers and 10 of the Top 20 Series Among Adults 18-49

CBS made it back-to-back weekly wins in viewers and key demographics paced by the NCAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP, NCIS and the rest of the Network's scripted programs, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending April 10, week 29 of the 2010-2011 television season.

CBS had 13 of the top 20 programs in viewers, 10 of the top 20 in adults 18-49 and 12 of the top 20 (including ties) in adults 25-54.

NCIS was the week's #1 scripted program in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49; THE BIG BANG THEORY was the #1 comedy in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49; and CRIMINAL MINDS was the #2 drama in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

For the week in viewers: CBS (11.16m), FOX (7.84m), ABC (7.59m) and NBC (5.06m). Season-to-date, CBS (11.86m) is ahead of FOX (9.77m), ABC (8.29m) and NBC (7.24m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in both adults 25-54 (3.5/09) and adults 18-49 (2.7/08) for the second consecutive week. Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (3.9/10, tie with FOX) and second in adults 18-49 (3.0/08).

For the week in households: CBS (6.8/11), ABC (4.8/08), FOX (4.6/07) and NBC (3.3/05). Season-to-date, CBS (7.2/12) is ahead of FOX (5.5/09), ABC (5.2/08) and NBC (4.5/07).

CBS Weekly Highlights:

-- On Monday, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (5.6/13), adults 18-49 (5.1/13), adults 18-34 (4.8/14), men 25-54 (7.0/17), men 18-49 (6.7/18) and men 18-34 (6.4/19). The Network was second in households (8.9/14) and viewers (14.92m).

PRELUDE TO A CHAMPIONSHIP (S) (9:00-9:15 PM) delivered a 7.1/11 in households with 11.46m viewers and 4.3/10 in adults 25-54, 3.6/10 in adults 18-49, 3.0/10 in adults 18-34, 5.5/15 in men 25-54, 4.7/14 in men 18-49 and 3.9/13 in men 18-34. Compared to the same special last year, CBS was up +3% in adults 18-34, +7% in men 18-49, +15% in men 18-34 and even in both adults 18-49 and men 25-54.

NCAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME "Butler vs. UConn" (S) (9:15-11:36 PM) posted an 11.7/18 in households with 20.06m viewers, 7.4/18 in adults 25-54, 7.1/18 in adults 18-49, 7.1/20 in adults 18-34, 9.6/26 in men 25-54, 9.7/25 in men 18-49 and 9.9/27 in men 18-34. CBS led the 9:00-11:00 PM time period in households, viewers and key adult and men demos.

-- Nielsen Media Research reports that 41.7 million viewers watched all or part of Monday's game. For the entire 2011 NCAA Tournament on CBS and Turner, a Nielsen cume study estimates that 109.2 million viewers watched all or part of this year's NCAA coverage, from the First Four through the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME�a +7% increase over 2010�s 102.3 million for the coverage only on CBS. 2011's 109.2 million viewers on CBS and Turner was higher than any of the all-or-part viewership on CBS alone since as far back as our records exist (2003).

-- On Tuesday, CBS was first in households (8.9/14), viewers (14.29m), adults 25-54 (4.1/10) and adults 18-49 (2.8/08).

NCIS was first in households (11.9/19), viewers (19.40m), adults 25-54 (5.4/14) and adults 18-49 (3.8/11). Compared to last week, NCIS was up +5% in households (from 11.3/18), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 5.3/13) and added +670,000 viewers (from 18.73m +4%).

THE GOOD WIFE was second in households (7.1/11), viewers (10.81m), adults 25-54 (3.1/08) and adults 18-49 (2.0/05). Compared to last week, THE GOOD WIFE was up +6% in households (from 6.7/11), +7% in adults 25-54 (from 2.9/07), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/05) and added +650,000 viewers (from 10.16m, +6%).

SURVIVOR: REDEMPTION ISLAND was second in households (6.3/10), viewers (10.94m), adults 25-54 (4.3/11) and adults 18-49 (3.2/10). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR: REDEMPTION ISLAND was up +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.1/09), even in both households and adults 25-54.

CRIMINAL MINDS was second in households (8.5/13), viewers (14.08m), adults 25-54 (4.8/11) and adults 18-49 (3.6/09). Compared to last week, CRIMINAL MINDS was up +9% in households (from 7.8/12), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.7/11), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.5/09) and added +1.03m viewers (from 13.05m, +8%).

CRIMINAL MINDS: SUSPECT BEHAVIOR was first in households (5.6/09), viewers (9.12m) and adults 25-54 (3.0/07); it was second in adults 18-49 (2.1/06).

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT was second in households (5.3/09), viewers (8.69m), adults 25-54 (3.5/09) and adults 18-49 (2.6/08). Compared to last week, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT was up +4% in households (from 5.1/09), +9% in adults 25-54 (from 3.2/08), +8% in adults 18-49 (from 2.4/07) and added +440,000 viewers (from 8.25m, +5%).

CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in households (8.2/13), viewers (13.06m) and adults 25-54 (4.2/10); it was second in adults 18-49 (2.9/08). Compared to last week, CSI was up +4% in households (from 7.9/12), +11% in adults 25-54 (from 3.8/09), even in adults 18-49 and added +300,000 viewers (from 12.76m, -2%).

THE MENTALIST was first in households (9.5/15), viewers (15.17m), adults 25-54 (4.2/11) and adults 18-49 (3.0/08). UNDERCOVER BOSS (9:12-10:12 PM) won its 9:00 PM time period in households (6.5/10), viewers (11.24m), adults 25-54 (4.1/09) and adults 18-49 (3.1/08).
