Live + 7 Day Ratings: ABC's "Modern Family" is TV's Biggest Gainer for 6 Straight Telecasts

Live + 7 Day Ratings for the week of 11/5/12 (Week #7):

Based on Nielsen's TV playback data for the week, ABC's Modern Family registered as the biggest gainer via time-shifted viewing in Adults 18-49 for its 6th consecutive telecast, picking up an additional 2.1 rating points from its originally reported Live + Same Day numbers. In fact, ABC claimed 3 of the week's Top 5 biggest gainers on the broadcast networks among young adults, with Modern Family, Grey's Anatomy (+1.9 rating points) and Once Upon a Time (+1.5 rating points).

· Based on Live + 7 Day ratings in Adults 18-49, ABC's Grey's Anatomy (5.2 rating) solidified its claim as TV's #1 broadcast drama, while Once Upon a Time moved up to rank as TV's #3 broadcast drama of the week (4.2 - tied with CBS' Criminal Minds). Initially in the Live + Same Day statistics, Once Upon a Time ranked as TV's #5 broadcast drama in the young adult demo, behind both CBS' Person of Interest and Criminal Minds.

· Among Adults 18-49, ABC delivered 6 of the Top 10 biggest gainers (the most for any network), with each show adding on at least +1.2 rating points over their first-reported Live + Same Day numbers: Modern Family (+2.1 rating - 4.8 to 6.9), Grey's Anatomy (+1.9 rating - 3.3 to 5.2), Once Upon a Time (+1.5 rating - 2.7 to 4.2), Revenge (+1.3 rating - 2.5 to 3.8), Nashville (+1.2 rating - 2.0 to 3.2) and Castle (+1.2 rating - 1.9 to 3.1).

· ABC had 7 shows gain more than 2 million viewers from their initially reported totals via TV playback: Modern Family (+4.35 million), Castle (+4.07 million), Grey's Anatomy (+3.94 million), Revenge (+3.35 million), Once Upon a Time (+3.22 million), Nashville (+2.81 million) and Scandal (+2.51 million).

Season-to-Date TV Playback (9/24/12-11/11/12):

Based on TV playback data for the 2012-13 season, ABC's Modern Family is the season's biggest gainer via time-shifted viewing among Adults 18-49, picking up +2.2 rating points. ABC's Nashville adds on +1.3 rating points over its Live + Same Day number, standing as the season's #2 new show in time-shifted gains.

· With Modern Family (7.2 rating) and Grey's Anatomy (5.4), ABC claims this season's #1 scripted series/comedy and #1 broadcast drama, respectively, in the key young adult demo. In fact, Modern Family leads CBS' The Big Bang Theory (6.9) and stands as the #1 entertainment program this season to date.
