"The Blacklist" Matches Its Highest Rating Since Week 2, Despite World Series Competition
NBC spins the numbers for Monday, October 28.

Monday Results (CW carried the Seahawks-Rams NFL telecast in St. Louis):

"The Voice" is currently the #1 telecast of the night on the Big 4 in 18-49 and "The Blacklist" is the night's #2 non-sports telecast on ABC, CBS and NBC. "Blacklist" is matching its top rating since Sept. 30 during the season's second week.

NBC is currently tying Fox's World Series coverage for the nightlong win in adults 18-49.

· From 8-10:01 p.m. ET, "The Voice" (4.2 rating, 11 share in adults 18-49, 13.0 million viewers overall) is #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus all key adult-female demos, despite World Series competition. "The Voice" is #1 for the night on those networks in 18-49 and other key categories. "The Voice" grew from its first half-hour to its fourth by 15% or 0.6 of a rating point in 18-49 rating (to a 4.5 from a 3.9) and by 11% or more than 1,3 million persons in total viewers (13.7 million vs. 12.4 million).

· "The Voice" is matching last week's 4.2 in these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings and running within a tenth of a rating point of last week's 4.3 in official nationals.

· From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "The Blacklist" (3.1/8 in adults 18-49, 10.7 million viewers overall) is up 3% week to week in 18-49 rating despite last night's competition from the strongest primetime hour of World Series Game 5. In total viewers, "The Blacklist" is up 2% versus last week (10.656 million vs. 10.473 million). And note that last week's "Blacklist" added 54% to its 18-49 rating in "live plus three day" results and 4.9 million persons in total viewers, the second-biggest lift in U.S. TV history (see details below).

· Last night's "Blacklist" is at a three-week high in 18-49 rating and is matching the show's highest rating since its second telecast on Sept. 30.

· "The Blacklist" is the #1 non-sports telecast in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key demographic, with an adult 18-49 margin among non-sports programs on those nets of 48% versus ABC's Castle" (3.1 vs. 2.1).

· "Live Plus Three Day": The Oct. 21 telecast of "The Blacklist" delivered the second biggest "live plus three day" increase in U.S. television history in total viewership, with that telecast growing by 4.916 million persons from 10.437 million viewers in "live plus same day" to 15.353 million in L+3. The only telecast ever to add more viewers in L+3 is the Sept. 30 "Blacklist," which grew by 5.081 million persons, raising its 11.348 million in L+SD to 16.429 million viewers in L+3. In adults 18-49, the Oct. 21"Blacklist" added 54% or 1.60 of a point to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 4.57 in L+3 from a 2.97 in L+SD). The 54% increase in 18-49 and 47% lift in total viewers are the biggest percentage increases to date for "The Blacklist" in both categories. "The Blacklist" grew week to week in "live plus three day" results for each of the last two weeks in 18-49, going from a 4.53 on Oct. 7 to a 4.54 on Oct. 14 to a 4.57 on Oct. 21. In total viewers, the Oct. 21 "Blacklist" was up week to week, to 15.353 million from 15.066 million.

· "Live Plus Seven Day": The Oct. 7 episode of "The Blacklist" delivered the second-biggest "live plus seven day" lift ever on the broadcast networks in total viewers, trailing only the Sept. 30 "Blacklist." The Oct. 7 telecast added 5.720 million persons in L+7 (to 16.904 million from 11.184 million in next-day "live plus same day" results), topping all other L+7 increases on broadcast television to date except the 6.504 million gain for the Sept. 30 "Blacklist" (17.858 million in L+7 vs. 11.354 million in L+SD). In adults 18-49, the Oct. 7 "Blacklist" added 61% or 1.89 rating points to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 4.98 in L+7 from a 3.09 in L+SD).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 3.1/8; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.0/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.0/6.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 1.0/5; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.5/6 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
