"THE TONIGHT SHOW," "LATE NIGHT" DOMINATE 2013 NOVEMBER SWEEP

Leno, Fallon Score Biggest 18-49 Audiences in Three Years, Also Outperform ABC, CBS Timeslot Competition for Week of Nov. 25-29

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Dec. 6, 2013 - "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" have dominated their broadcast competition during the November 2013 sweep, with both late-night programs generating their biggest November 18-49 audiences in three years.

In total viewers, it's the biggest overall November audience for "The Tonight Show" in five years and the biggest November in total viewers during the five years Jimmy Fallon has hosted "Late Night."

For the Oct. 31-Nov. 27 sweep, "The Tonight Show" averaged 1.114 million adults 18-49, up 10% versus November 2012, and 3.880 million viewers overall, up 14% versus last year. "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" attracted 746,000 adults 18-49 during the November sweep, up 15% versus one year ago, and 1.942 million viewers overall, a year-to-year gain of 19%.

The 18-49 averages for Leno and Fallon are each their best for a November sweep since 2010 and "Tonight's" total viewership is its best for a November since 2008.

For the month, Leno delivered bigger audiences than CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" in every key category - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers - and outdelivered ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54; men 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54; women 25-54; and total viewers.

Fallon topped CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," as well as ABC's "Nightline" in their head to head half-hour, in every key category.

At 1:35 a.m. ET, "Last Call with Carson Daly" jumped 21% year to year in 18-49 viewers, to 450,000 from last year's 371,000, for the show's top November average in three years (499,000 in 2010). In total viewers, "Last Call" surged by 14% year to year, to 1.012 million persons from last year's 890,000, for its biggest overall November audience in five years (1.139 million in 2008).

The November sweep concluded during the week of Nov. 25-29, with "The Tonight Show" and "Late Night" scoring recent highs in 18-49 viewers and total viewers.

With strong Thursday results following a primetime NFL overrun, Leno delivered 1.4 million 18-49 viewers for the week, best for "Tonight" in nearly three years (since Jan. 31-Feb. 4, 2011). In total viewers, Leno's Nov. 25-29 average of 4.410 million is his best in more than two and a half years (since March 15-19, 2010).

Fallon averaged 851,000 adults 18-49 for the week of Nov. 25-29, his best result in more than a year (since Sept. 3-7, 2012). He attracted 2.131 million viewers overall, "Late Night's" biggest overall audience in nearly three years (since Jan. 18-22, 2010).

"Tonight" has now delivered bigger 18-49 audiences than "Late Show" for the last 54 weeks in a row and topped "Kimmel" for 43 of their 47 head-to-head weeks. In total viewers, Leno has out-delivered "Late Show" for 57 weeks in a row and "Kimmel" for 47 of 47 weeks.

Fallon has now generated bigger 18-49 audiences than "Late Late Show" for 59 of the last 60 weeks and prevailed in total viewers for 56 of the last 58 weeks. Versus "Nightline" in their head-to-head half-hour, Fallon has out-delivered the ABC series for 47 of 47 weeks in viewers 18-49 and 42 of 44 weeks in total viewers.
