UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Dec. 30, 2013 - The Dec. 21 telecast of "Saturday Night Live," featuring host Jimmy Fallon and musical guest Justin Timberlake, earned a 3.72 in the 18-49 adult demo, according to national ratings that were released today.
This is the show's best rating in the demo since Jan. 7, 2012, when the show was hosted by Charles Barkley and Kelly Clarkson serving as the musical guest. That telecast, which earned a 4.07 in the demo, was immediately preceded by an NFL Wild Card playoff game in primetime.
Without an NFL lead-in, this Dec. 21 telecast with Fallon and Timberlake was the highest-rated "Saturday Night Live" program since May 8, 2010 when Betty White served as host and Jay-Z was the musical guest.
"Saturday Night Live," which premiered Oct. 11, 1975, is broadcast live from NBC's famed Studio 8H in New York City's Rockefeller Center. The program is a production of Broadway Video in association with SNL Studios. Lorne Michaels is the executive producer.
