Live + 3: ABC's Forever Spikes 64% as Tuesday's Top Gainer - SHIELD Posts its 2nd-Biggest-Ever L3 Lift

ABC's Live + 3 Day Data for Tuesday (9/30/14):

On its most recent telecast, ABC's Forever grew to 8.9 million viewers (+48% - up +2.9 mil from 6.0 mil L+SD) and a 2.3 in Adults 18-49 (+64% - up +0.9 from 1.4 L+SD). With a 64% 3-day spike in Adults 18-49 (vs. +39% the prior week), the new ABC drama earned the biggest percentage lift for any network program on Tuesday and was also higher than any series delivered the night before on Monday (Blacklist led at +54%).

The audience for ABC's Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. increased to 7.5 million viewers (+47% - up +2.4 mil from 5.1 mil L+SD) and a 2.8 in Adults 18-49 (+56% - up +1.0 from 1.8 L+SD). Continuing to trend ahead of last year's young adult L3 lifts (+56% vs. +48% for the year-ago telecast), S.H.I.E.L.D. equaled the series' 2nd-highest-ever percentage increase for any telecast from Live + Same Day to Live + 3 Day. More than doubling the playback lift of its CBS drama competition in the hour (56% vs. 26%), S.H.I.E.L.D. closed the gap to move up into a virtual tie with NCIS-led NCIS: New Orleans in Adults 18-49 (2.8 rating vs. 2.9 rating) in the 9pm time slot, after trailing by 5-tenths in the L+SD numbers (1.8 vs. 2.3).

ABC's Selfie debut went up to 6.3 million viewers (+19% - up +1.0 mil from 5.3 mil L+SD) and a 2.0 in Adults 18-49 (+25% - up +0.4 from 1.8 L+SD). ABC's Manhattan Love Story opener built to 5.3 million viewers (+13% - up +600k from 4.7 mil L+SD) and a 1.6 in Adults 18-49 (+7% - up +0.1 from 1.5 L+SD). Selfie and Manhattan Love Story drew considerably larger Live + 3 Day audiences than either of Fox's established Tuesday comedies: New Girl (3.6 million) and The Mindy Project (3.1 million).
