L+3 Ratings: ABC's Good Doctor Tops CBS' NCIS and NBC's This Is Us as the Season's Most-Watched Drama

During the third week of the new season, ABC claimed the #1 gainer in L+3 playback among Adults 18-49 and once again had more of the Top 10 gainers than any other network with 5 programs (NBC - 4, Fox - 2, CBS - 2): The Good Doctor (+1.6 rating points) - #1, Grey's Anatomy (+1.1) - #4, Modern Family (+0.9) - #6, while How to Get Away with Murder (+0.8) and Scandal (+0.8) tied for #9. In fact, ABC had the #1 gainer on Monday with The Good Doctor, on Wednesday with Modern Family, on Thursday with Grey's Anatomy and on Friday with Once Upon a Time (+0.5 rating points).
ABC also claimed the week's biggest overall gainer in Total Viewers and 2 of the Top 3 with The Good Doctor (+5.6 million) - #1 and Designated Survivor (+3.7 million) - #3.
The Good Doctor delivered its biggest lifts yet in its third week to make it the #1 playback gainer for the first time this season in both Adults 18-49 (+1.6 rating points) and Total Viewers (+5.6 million), topping the L+3 increases for runner-up NBC's This is Us (+4.3 million and +1.5 rating points). In fact, in the week's Live+3 Day rankings, ABC's The Good Doctor (3.6/13) jumped 4 spots to rank as the week's #3 series with Adults 18-49.

On average in the L+3 numbers through the first 3 weeks of the 2017-18 season, ABC's The Good Doctor (16.42 million) is TV's most-watched drama over CBS' NCIS (16.35 million) and NBC's This Is Us (16.2 million), while ranking as the #1 freshman drama and #1 10 o'clock series among Adults 18-49 (3.7/13).
Based on TV playback data for the 2017-18 season, The Good Doctor ties This Is Us as the #1 gainer in L+3 playback among Adults 18-49 (+1.6 rating points), with ABC's Grey's Anatomy (+1.2) - #6, Modern Family (+1.0) - #7 and How to Get Away with Murder (+0.9) - #9 placing among the Top 10.
Soaring by +5.4 million viewers from L+SD, The Good Doctor is the season's biggest gainer in Total Viewers and the only program to grow by more than +5.0 million viewers.
ABC claims the Top 2 percentage gainers on the broadcast networks in Adults 18-49 with Designated Survivor (+90%) and HTGAWM (+80%).
